Royal Robbins Clothing For Ladies and Men from Landmark

The Royal Robbins clothing range started in 1975, when climbers Liz and Royal Robbins couldn’t find the right kind of clothing for their adventure lifestyle and decided to design their own.  The first pair of Royal Robbins shorts has evolved in to a large range of adventure and travel clothing for men and women.
Our Royal Robbins Men’s clothing range includes the very popular coolmesh fabrics ideal for hot climates and the popular Zip and Go Pants, which double up as shorts and trousers.
The Coolmesh Short Sleeved shirt is one of our most popular items in the Royal Robbins Women’s range.  Crease resistant, and featuring natural ventilation, it is perfect for those long hazy summer days.

The Royal Robbins Story
Liz and Royal Robbins are a remarkable couple who designed remarkable, innovative clothing. They followed a trail that began in Yosemite as climbing pioneers, and led to the creation of an exceptional outdoor & travel clothing line.
Royal Robbins made history books by being the first man to make his ascents on some of the world's most famous climbing routes, many in his favourite ‘playground' Yosemite. With his wife Liz they made ascents of difficult Yosemite climbs, taught skiing and climbing, and opened a climbing school. But the couple couldn't find the right clothing in which to explore, so in 1975 Liz decided to design her own
The success of these first designs evolved into a complete line of travel clothing, including shirts, shorts and trousers, that they named Go Everywhere, reflecting their passion for traveling and exploring..
Royal Robbins continue to create practical clothing, rooted in the outdoors that is as much about style as performance. Built to ignite the passion for all outdoors, with the performance fabrics necessary in today's high adventure sporting lifestyle.
Royal Robbins design clothes that go that extra mile, you'll find secret pockets, zip secure pockets, discreet venting, fabrics that wick, fabrics that offer you sun protection, fabrics that are crease resistant, that are lightweight and packable and above all else look good. So whatever your adventure Royal Robbins enables you to do it in comfort and style.

Warm And Hot Weather Clothing Advice From Landmark

Temperate Climates
For climates slightly warmer than the UK, garments that are loose fitting and 100% synthetic (polyester or nylon) are ideal. They dry quickly and need no ironing. However in higher temperatures they can make the wearer feel hot and uncomfortable.

Our Recommendation: Royal Robbins Light Expedition Shirts for Men or Ladies

Hot Arid Conditions
When travelling in extremely high temperatures many experienced adventurers prefer to use natural fibres like pure cotton and linen or merino wool for ultimate comfort.

Our Recommendation: Royal Robbins Coolmesh Shirts for Men or Ladies

Hot Humid Conditions
Pure cottons have a tendency to rot in wet conditions therefore mixed fabrics like polycotton are a good compromise.

Our Recommendation: Royal Robbins Desert Pucker Shirt for Men
Royal Robbins Urban Garden V Neck

Features To Look Out For

Shirts
High collar to protect back of neck
Long sleeves which can be rolled up
Chest pockets when travelling
Venting to the body

Trousers
Plenty of pockets including at least one zipped
Zip off legs turns the trouser into a short
Loose fit for activity and ventilation
Reinforced in seat and knees if spending time in dense undergrowth
Able to secure around top of boot to stop insects

Fabrics
Look out for those that have high sun protection factors (UPF above 30)

Landmark Tips
Take a mixture of both synthetic and natural fibres on your trip and you will have maximum versatility.
Don’t spray deet-based insect repellent on synthetic fabrics because it eats the yarn and you might loose the shirt off your back.~
