Marlborough Jazz Festival
In the words of the Sunday Telegraph, "each year the exquisite market town of Marlborough becomes a mini New Orleans". The Marlborough International Jazz was founded in 1986 and is now one of the top events of its kind in the British Isles. Bands range from famous touring stars - and many of the home-grown variety - to young and up-and-coming groups.

The Marlborough Mop fair takes place in the High Street every Year and attracts large numbers of visitors accross the 2 weekends in October it is held. The dates are always the Saturday before and after Old Michaelmas Day on 11 October. This Year's dates are the 10th and the 17th of October. The Mop's history in Marlborough goes back over 800 years and was once a hiring fair where local landowners could find workers for their estates.
