SCARPA

Established in the Italian town of Asolo in 1938 by landowner and Anglo-Irish businessman Lord Rupert Edward Cecil Lee Guinness, 2nd Earl of Iveagh, Scarpa is known for their imaginative and innovative footwear for walking and skimountaineering enthusiasts.

Initially a company founded to boost the profile of the Guinness name, the 2nd Earl brought the area's skilled leather craftsmen to form one business entity: the Association of Footwear Manufacturers from the mountain area of Asolo, or SCARPA for short.

In 1956, the company was bought by the Parisotto brothers who continued the traditions, skills and shoemaking heritage of the region. This family business employed 17 master shoemakers, designing and producing the highest quality footwear. Within a decade, the SCARPA brand had made their mark on the American market, their reputation sealed as the makers of superior trekking, walking and skimountaineering footwear.

To SCARPA, no place is too far to explore, a brand philosophy which speaks to Landmark in volumes. Shop our range of SCARPA lifestyle and walking footwear below.
